Design-led firms outperform peers. This half-day workshop provides an introduction to Design Thinking leveraging Generative AI (GenAI) in the wholesale industry to drive sustainable innovation to tackle industry challenges while aligning with environmental and social goals.

This introductory half-day program is designed to guide professionals on the key practical skills to implement Design Thinking methodologies with reference to sustainability and the use of GenAI.
Programme/Agenda
Participants will learn to:
- Introduce and apply the Design Thinking approach to foster innovation and problem-solving with reference to sustainability and GenAI.
- Identify and solve industry-specific challenges through a human-centred approach.
- Generate and evaluate innovative solutions through ideation and prototyping, prioritizing sustainable solutions.

This workshop is for managers and executives responsible for strategic planning, business development, or sustainability initiatives, as well as entrepreneurs and business owners looking to improve innovation within.
- Course Fee Grant for Mature Workers (≥40 yrs)
The funding support covers up to 70% of the course fee (based on Member Fee at $280), with a maximum cap of $700 per worker, whichever is lower; Each company can tap on up to 3 workers.
- Course Fee Grant for Non-Mature Workers
The funding support covers up to 50% of the course fee (based on Member Fee at $280), with a maximum cap of $500 per worker, whichever is lower; Each company can tap on up to 3 workers.

Course fee grants are supportable if the company is open to JSIT-WST basic or in-depth advisory.
- Signed up JSIT-WST enquiry form via derrick.lim@sbf.org.sg
- Participate in JSIT-WST basic or in-depth advisory (can be via event or 30-minute virtual engagement session). JSIT’s Skills team will offer basic advisory to the wholesale trade companies and guide them through JSIT-WST course fee grant application procedures before the training.
- Apply and receive approval for JSIT-WST grants (JSIT-WST application form, under course fee grants). Hence, wholesale trade companies need to apply 10 working days prior to the course commencement date.
